Clik here to view.Ferdinando L. “Fred” Giovanniello – 70 – of 23 Pine St., Hornell, died unexpectedly Wednesday (January 2, 2012) at his home.
Born in Italy on April 10, 1942, he was the son of Americo & Pasqualina (Capozzi) Giovanniello.
Fred has resided in the United States since he was 14 years old. He lived in Brooklyn for several years and on Long Island for many years. He has resided in Hornell for over 25 years.
He enjoyed bowling and for several years bowled for Giovanni’s Team. Fred loved gardening (both flower garden and vegetable garden) and also enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Coogan Giovanniello; 3 sons, Americo “Ricky” (Adele) Giovanniello, Ferdinando “Freddy” (Alyssa) Giovanniello and Victor (Maddie) Giovanniello, all of Long Island; 2 step-children, Kristy (William) Gosnell of South Carolina and Neal (Tara) Levi of Syracuse; 2 sisters, Anna Troisi of Italy and Gaetana “Gay” Lorusso of Florida; 2 brothers, Pete (Mary) Giovanniello of Dansville and William “Bill” (Lorraine) Giovanniello of Hornell; 7 grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The family of Fredinando L. “Fred” Giovanniello will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY where a Memorial Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3:00 PM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.
