Jacqueline L. Anesko, 61, of 6612 Burt Hill Road, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday (November 24, 2013) at her home.

Born in Bath, February 17, 1952, the daughter of Richard and Helen Armstrong Shill, she had resided in Canisteo since 1991. She was a graduate of Prattsburgh High School, and had most recently been employed at the former P&C Grocery Store in Hornell. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Bath American Legion, the American Quarter Horse Association, the NYSTPA(New York State Team Penning Association) , the New York Reined Cowhorse Association as well as several other horse organizations and activities. One of Jacquelines greatest joys was raising and caring for her horses.

She was predeceased by her father in May 1994.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Anesko, to whom she was married Feb. 14, 2000, her mother, Helen J.(Stephen) Graves of Arizona, 2 daughters, Gennette Wachala of Oswego, and Stephanie Wachala of Canisteo, her brother, Jeffery Shill of Hammondsport, and 2 grand daughters, Brittany Jenkins and Jolene Lucas.

The family will be present to receive friends Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo from 10 AM until 12 Noon at which time services will be held with Rev. Donald Maynard, officiating.
