Juanita L. Leiter, 70, of Hornell, passed away Friday (November 29, 2013) at McAuley Manor.
Born in Hornell, January 19, 1943, the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Currier Smith, she had resided in Hornell for the past 25 years. Juanita worked as a CNA for the Bath VA Medical Center and enjoyed crocheting, reading, camping, and most of all her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Carl Leiter in 2004 as well as her son, Jason Leiter in 2009.
She is survived by one son, Kevin (Emily) Leiter of Canisteo, four brothers, Joe (Karen) Smith of FL, George (Joellen) Smith of Dansville, Thomas (Karen) Smith of Hornell and Michael Smith of Binghampton, as well as five grandchildren.
Honoring Juanita’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held as the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fremont
