Emogene C. Davison-Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Great Great Grandmother Bolivar Emogene C. Davison, 89, a former resident of Salt Rising road, passed away Tuesday (August 5, 2014) at Jones Memorial Hospital. Born in Olean, December 15, 1924, the daughter of Gordon and Ellen (Briggs) Clark, she was a lifelong area resident. On March 24, 1946 she married Richard Davison Sr, who predeceased her in January of 2007. Emogene considered her greatest accomplishment in life her family, thoroughly enjoying being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son Dale Davison, a daughter Paula Mitchell, 2 grandsons Chip Mitchell and Jamie Barkley, her son in law Dan Barkley, and her sister Betty Hastings. She is survived by 5 daughters Linda Barkley of Richburg, Marcia (Jeff) Robinson of Richburg, Brenda (Terry) Witter of Bolivar, Donna (Jack) Emrick of Scio, Sheila Davison of Bolivar, 3 sons Richard (June) Davison Jr of Bolivar, Dan (Char) Davison of Bolivar, Ralph (Connie) Best of Bolivar, 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren with 2 great grandsons on the way, and 1 great great grandson. A private graveside service was held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Bolivar on Friday, with her son in law Jack conducting her service.
