Kenneth Edward Nichols Hornell Kenneth Edward Nichols, 78, passed away Sunday (May 31, 2015) at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Howard, April 2, 1937, the son of Walter and Mabel Davie Nichols, he had resided most of his life in the Hornell area. Ken worked for the former Hornell Construction, Crowley’s Dairy, and at First State Bank. He was a member of the former East Ave. Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time on the farm where he was born. He was a supportive and proud father and grandfather. In addition to his parents Kenneth was predeceased by one daughter, Darlene Nichols, two brothers, Raymond Miner and Wilson Nichols, two sisters, Loraine Nichols and Carolyn Smith. He is survived by wife, Janet Myers Nichols of Hornell, his children, Kenneth (Cheryl) Nichols Jr. of Hornell, Debora (Paul) Quinlan of Hornell, Ellen (Dennis) George of Almond, and Walter (Jackie) Nichols of Washington DC, and, grandchildren, Kenneth (Ondrea) Nichols III, Candice (Steve) Soderberg, Ashley Morse, Brett, Meghan and Michael Quinlan, Thomas (Laura) George, Caitlin George and, great grandchildren, Kenneth Nichols IV and Brynn Soderberg.
