Clik here to view.Phyllis B Swingle Hornell Phyllis B Swingle, 80, formerly of Green Acres, passed away Tuesday (July 14, 2015) at the Hornell Gardens. Born in Troy, PA, July 16, 1934, the daughter of Howard M. and Beatrice M. Mitchell Smith, she had resided in Hornell since 2007 having come from Elmira. Phyllis worked as a secretary for Shepard Niles Construction in Montour Falls as well as a private Home Health Care Aid. She loved collectables, yard sales and bird watching. In addition to her parent’s Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, LaVerne Swingle in 2007. She is survived by two sons, Robert Parker of Elmira and Lewis Parker of Horseheads, three daughters, Patricia Mayer of Canisteo, Sheryl French of Pine City and Mary Scott of FL, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Honoring Phyllis’s wishes there will be no calling. A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
