Jacqueline L. “Jackie” Burdick Alfred Station Jacqueline L. “Jackie” Burdick, 77, of State Rt. 244, passed away Thursday (November 19, 2015) at the Comfort House of Allegany County in Wellsville. Born in North Hornell, January 25, 1938, the daughter of Ellsworth and Gladys Todd Sick, she had resided in Alfred-Almond area all her life. She was a graduate of the Alfred-Almond Central School and the Hornell Business School. Jackie was an active member of both the Almond Union of Churches as well as the Chenunda Creek Fellowship Church in Independence. She was a life member of the Alfred Station Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary, the Baker’s Bridge Historical Society as well as the Almond Historical Society. Jackie was always generous with her time and went the extra mile when assisting others. In addition to her parent’s Jacqueline was predeceased by one sister, Joanne Rossman. She is survived by her husband Charles to whom she was married on August 1, 1959, four sons, Bradley (Janice) Burdick of Alfred Station, Thomas (Peg) Burdick, of Andover, Glenn Burdick of Alfred Station, and Royce (Katherine) Burdick of Hartsville, one sister, Mary Patrick of Seabring Florida, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends from 2PM until 5PM on Sunday (November 22, 2015), at the Bender – Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 5PM at the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Richard officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
