Dorothy M. Andrews, 98, formerly of Monroe Ave., passed away Wednesday (December 18, 2013) in Hornell Gardens.
Born in Hornell, July 3, 1915, the daughter of Frank and Eleanor Rose Rahmlow, she was a lifelong area resident. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Spencer United Methodist Church and later a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Hornell. She loved to cook and bake; especially cookies and doughnuts. Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her husband George in 1998, three sisters, Margaret Rahmlow, Frances Wizeman and Virginia Wright, four brothers, William, Robert, Frank and Donald Rahmlow.
She is survived by three sons, George Marilyn) Andrews Jr. of Hornell, Robert (Marsha) Andrews of Canisteo and William (Nancy) Andrews of NC, 10 grandchildren, Brian Andrews, Karen Burdett, Steven Andrews, Beverly Croston, Mark, Charles and James Andrews, Jill Daniel and Jeffery Andrews, 18 great grandchildren, two brothers, Raymond Rahmlow of Rochester and Richard Rahmlow of CT, one sister, Marilyn Hawkins of Hornell, several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a future date and will appear in the Evening Tribune. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
