Clik here to view.Jean Marguerite Mulhollen Hornell Jean Marguerite Mulhollen, 85, of 81 State Street, passed away peacefully Friday (March 7, 2014) at her home. Born in Hornell, June 16, 1928, the daughter of Paul and Cecile (Tappanden) Hatter, she was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Hornell High School. Jean had worked for the former J.J Newberry Co. and later at the former F.W. Woolworth Inc. in Hornell. She had also sold Avon for several years. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bourne Mulhollen in 1984, whom she married on March 6, 1948; her 2 brothers Paul Hatter, and Richard Hatter, as well as her best friend Ana Quick Burse. She is survived by 4 daughters Julie Byron of Temecula, CA, Barbara (Joseph) Rose of Hornell, Sandra McAllister of Hornell, Mary Jane Mulhollen of Johnson City, 3 sons Gerald (Barbara) Mulhollen of Hornell, Stephen (Rosalie) Mulhollen of Canisteo, Gary (Nancy) Mulhollen of TX., 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 2 sisters- in- law, Phyllis Hatter of North Hornell, and Sarah Hatter of Hornell, several nieces and nephews. Jean enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, reading, taking walks, bingo, being outdoors and was a great lover of animals. Nothing made Jean happier than the annual family 4th of July gathering at West VanScoter Street. The family will be present from 4-7pm Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the Robertson Funeral Home (at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home), 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services will be held following calling hours at 7:00 PM, with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Graveside committal services and Burial will be held at Rural Cemetery in Hornell on Wednesday (March 12, 2014) at 11 AM.
