Florence L. Fuller Hornell Mrs. Florence Louise Fuller – She passed away at her home in Hornell, NY following a short illness. Her death had been expected and was no surprise to the family and friends that surrounded her in her last moments. Florence was known to almost everyone in her community. Born in Dansville, August 17, 1938, the daughter of William and Lillian Chesbro Paulman, she had resided in the Hornell area most of her life. She had been employed for over 30 years as a teacher’s aide for the Hornell School District, a job she truly enjoyed. Florence and her husband Donald had been foster parents for over 25 years, caring for over 67 children. The Fuller’s were the emergency placement home for Steuben County, taking responsibility for many children in emergency situations. Florence was a member of Hillside Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her parents, and her son, Donald B. Fuller. She is survived by her husband, Donald Fuller, to whom she was married September 7, 1955, three daughters, Bonnie (Darryl) Barth of North Carolina, Joy (Mitch) Weaver of Hornell and Robin (Chris) Fuller-Jones of North Carolina, three sons, Randy (Patti) Fuller of North Carolina, Brion Fuller of Hornell and Daniel (Tina) Fuller of Pennsylvania, her sister, Rebecca Stevens of Dansville and her brother, Robert (Marge)Paulman of Dansville, many grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, April 7, 2014, at the Bender – Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell from 5 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Hillside Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Craig Brittingham officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery. Friends may make memorial contributions to: Care First, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
