Gerald Roy Stephens Avoca Gerald Roy Stephens, 77, of 7 Charlesworth Street, passed away Saturday (June 28, 2014) at his home. Born in Dansville, January 15, 1937, the son of Lester and Evangeline Kemp Stephens, he had resided most all of his life in the Hornell- Arkport area and in Avoca since 2004. Gerald had worked for many years on the Auckland Farms in Arkport. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters, Marinda Lamphier, and Mary Stephens, as well as his brothers, Harold, Raymond, and Laverne Stephens. He is survived by his sister, Myra Stephens of Hornell and his sister-in-law, Beulah Stephens of Hornell, several nieces and nephews. Brown, director at Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell. Honoring Gerald’s wishes there were no calling hours. The family observed a private graveside service today at Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo.
