Harry Eugene “Gene” Robbins Angelica Harry Eugene “Gene” Robbins, 74, of 109 Mechanic Street, passed away Friday (November 7, 2014) at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Wellsville, February 8, 1940, the son of Harry James and Marian Rose (Jenison) Robbins, he was a longtime resident of Angelica. Gene had owned and operated Mechanic Street Tire for 32 years in Angelica, had also taught auto mechanics at BOCES, and was also a service manager at the former Family Ford on Bolivar Road in Wellsville. Gene was a lover of antiques, and loved showing them at Heritage Days, and the Allegany County Fair. He was a former volunteer fireman for the Angelica Fire Department, and was a true “Ford” man, passing that love onto his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and an infant brother James Robbins. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline “Jackie” L. (Maxson) Robbins whom he married on January 2, 1960, 4 daughters Kimberly (Tim) Dobmeier of Angelica, Penny (Craig) Miller of Angelica, Lisa (Bob) Perry of Angelica, Barbara (Brian) Landries of Angelica, a son Mike Robbins of Angelica, his brother Curt (Wilma) Robbins of Angelica, 11 grandchildren Joshua (Sarah), Timothy (Jodi), Meghan (Mike), Nicholas, Taylor, Adrian, Tyler, Baylee, Karah, Kaitlyn, and Emily, 3 great grandchildren Ellie Grace, Lincoln Timothy , and Baby Miller, and several nieces and nephews. The family will be present 11am-2pm Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue, Angelica, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Glenn Layfield officiating. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery in Angelica.
