Ollene K. Smith Alfred Ollene K. Smith, 95, of North Main St., passed away Wednesday (November 12, 2014) at McAuley Manor in Hornell. Born in Alfred, September 14, 1919, the daughter of LaVern and Hazel Baker Kenyon, she had resided in Alfred all her life. Ollene retired as a custodian from Alfred University and was a member of the Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church. She was a member of the Amandine Club in Alfred, the former Alfred Order of the Eastern Star, Alfred Rebekah Lodge, International World Friends, and the Alfred-Almond Alumni Association. Ollene was a very social person, and loved her music friends. In addition to her parents Ollene was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 1972, one grandchild, Lori Ann Kwiatkowski, Brother Brice Kenyon, and Sister Barbara Palmiter. She is survived by three daughters, Sally (Keith) Doty of Almond, Jean (John) Kwiatkowski of Olean, and Carol (Marc) Mullen of Greenwood, 8 grandchildren, Teresa Kirkendale, Jackie (Darren) Dalton, Marcella (Corey)McCaffery, Joshua (Suzanne) Mullen, John M. (Kimberly) Kwaitkowski, David J. (Jennifer) Kwiatkowski, Marshelle (David) Gillette and Cheryl Post, 24 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren . The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday (Nov. 15, 2014) from 2-4PM, at the Bender – Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at the Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church, 5 Church St. Alfred, NY 14802 at 1:30PM. Burial will be in Alfred Rural Cemetery.
