Frances Elnora Savey Almond Frances E. Savey, 92, of 87 Main Street, passed away peacefully Saturday (January 24, 2015) at Robert Packer Hosptial. Born in Canisteo, November 5, 1922, the daughter of Maylon and Bernice Wood, she was a lifelong area resident. She retired from St. James Mercy Hospital in 1985 as a Nurse’s Aide. Frances enjoyed her family, reading, and taking care of her husband who predeceased her. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Stanley M. Savey on November 13, 2012, whom she married February 5, 1954, also was predeceased by 4 brothers Delbert, Albert, Clyde “Bud”, and Claude Wood, her sister Helen Manry, and her great granddaughter Christine Anderson. She is survived by her 2 daughters Susan (Richard) Stevens of Canisteo, Diane (Milton) Niles of Waverly, NY, 5 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, her sister Jean Wood of Canisteo, and her sister in law Jane Wood . The family will be present 2-4 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at the Bender – Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, with Rev.
