Victor G. Pyer Hornell Victor G. Pyer, 85, of County Route 54, Town of Fremont, passed away Wednesday (February 11, 2015) at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Bath. Born in Hornell, NY, March 16, 1929, the son of Earl and Rubie Mae Eves Pyer, he had resided his entire life in this area. He had been employed as a welder at the former Foster Wheeler Corporation in Dansville and later as a truck driver for Covered Wagon Train in Hornell. Victor had served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1946-1949 . He was predeceased by his parents and three sisters, Veronica Aultman, Vivian Khork and Viola Aultman. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wyant Pyer of Fremont, his daughters, Linda (John) Norton of Hornell and Lucinda (Jim) Lapiana of Florida, two sons, Larry Pyer of Alabama and Lee (Stacy) Pyer of Fremont, his brother, Vance Pyer of Pennsylvania, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
