Clik here to view.Catherine D. “Cathy” Clark Arkport Catherine D. “Cathy” Clark, 65, of 25 Park Avenue, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday (February 13, 2015) at her home. Born in North Hornell, NY, July 25, 1949, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (“Betty”) Gallagher Sexton, she had resided in the Hornell-Arkport area all her life. She had attended St. Ann’s School and was a graduate of Hornell High School. She had been employed as a care giver and house manager at the former Craig Development Center in Sonyea. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of the former St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Hornell and currently a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Hornell. Cathy was well known for her baking and especially her apple pies. She was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Theresa Hendee. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Clark to whom she was married November 17, 1973, her son, Carl (Heather) Clark of Arkport and two sisters, Patricia (Stan) Faryna of Avoca and Margaret (David) Fletcher of Avoca, her grandson Daniel Clark, nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A private funeral service for family and close friends will be held at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo Street, Hornell, NY. Deacon Robert McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in Heritage Hill Cemetery, Arkport, NY. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Care First Hospice for the excellent care given to Cathy, as well as to friends and family who assisted with her care.
