Megan L. Robie Canisteo Megan L. Robie, 15, of 67 Maple St., went to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Friday (June 12, 2015). Born in Corning, NY, February 17, 2000, the daughter of Douglas and Carol Burleson Robie, she had resided in Canisteo since 2002. Megan was just completing her Freshman year at the Canisteo-Greenwood Central School. Megan enjoyed playing tennis, bowling on the youth league, and in her early life, enjoyed playing softball. She attended the Faith Independent Baptist Church in Canisteo where she assisted in Junior Church and enjoyed attending the Corning Area Bible Club Camp. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Benjamin Burleson, and her paternal grandmother, Katherine Robie. She is survived by her parents, Douglas and Carol Robie of Canisteo, her sister, Katherine Robie of Canisteo, her maternal grandmother, Sandra Dahl of Florida and paternal grandfather, Henry Robie of Savona. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will be present to receive friends at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo on Tuesday from 3 PM until 6 PM and where family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday evening at 7 PM. Pastor Daniel Todd will officiate. Graveside services will be held at Bennett’s Creek Cemetery, State Route 248, Canisteo on Wednesday at 2 PM.
